Following reports on social media of a fire at Yesagyo market, Myanmar Witness geolocated footage of fires, verifying the location as the market (at around 21.621793, 95.247386).

At present, it has not been confirmed why these fires occurred. Media reports, including Mandalay Free Press, suggest that these fires were set alight by the military and pro-military actors in retaliation for the killing of a member of the pro-military Pyu Saw Htee group in Yesagyo.
