MAF airstrikes reportedly destroyed religious buildings on Lat Khat Mountain

Myanmar Air Force airstrikes reportedly destroyed religious buildings on Lat Khat Mountain, near the Thai border.

Karen National Union claimed that religious buildings within the Lawka Thitsar Buddhist Temple complex were hit by bombs from two Yak-130 fighter aircraft on 18 August at 1400.

Conflict has reportedly escalated in this area since 21 July, when it was captured by KNLA joint forces.
