Following the announcement of mobilisation starting in April 2024, thousands of citizens appear to be planning to leave Myanmar.

This image allegedly shows people lined up in front of the Yangon Passport Office in Yanking Township, Yangon. Myanmar Witness geolocated it to 16.824351, 96.160606, just outside the passport office.

According to local media, some people are being asked to wait up to six months to book a visit to the passport issuing office.
